We welcomed couples to our Woods Hole Inn forever family this summer by hosting several memorable micro weddings. We are honored to be part of these couple’s stories. Francyne & Richard’s Story – March 20th, 2021
“After 17+years together, my boyfriend and I decided to elope during the pandemic on the first day of spring 2021! The Woods Hole Inn orchestrated a perfect wedding day for us that was special, intimate, and magical! While we couldn’t be with our family, The Woods Hole Inn team made us feel like we were part of the Woods Hole Inn Family! Every detail of the elopement was planned and executed perfectly with very personal touches that moved us deeply. My husband and I were so pleased with the experience that we made a personal vow to come back to our new family every year to celebrate our anniversary! Brittany & Jack’s Story – April 24th, 2021
“We booked an Elopement package with the Woods Hole Inn in mid-April 2021, about six months ago and we STILL haven’t stopped talking about how amazingly wonderful everything was! We had tried planning our wedding for a while with little success, so we kept delaying. When the Covid19 pandemic hit, we decided enough was enough and we were going to elope and then surprise our loved ones with the good news after we got back! After spending a couple of weeks searching for and researching elopement packages, we found the Woods Hole Inn. The Woods Hole staff are amazing and helped us plan everything from beginning to end. We were met with a warm greeting when we arrived and arranged everything to make sure we had a perfect weekend visit, which made us feel like family. We stayed in the Nonamesset room, which was beautifully decorated, incredibly comfortable and included a private deck where we had a great view overlooking the Woods Hole harbor.
We held our ceremony at the Nobska lighthouse located nearby and the scenery and weather couldn’t have been more beautiful. The local Officiant they partnered with to perform the service was just lovely and did an amazing job with our vows. Once our ceremony and pictures concluded we were able to go back to our room to enjoy a few restful minutes taking in the view from our deck before we moved on to finish our day with a romantic and absolutely delicious reception dinner for the two of us at the Quicks Hole Tavern in a private dining room overlooking the harbor. It was truly the best day and weekend of our lives and exceeded all expectations! We cannot wait to return for our 1st wedding anniversary visit and we look forward to making a weekend getaway to the Woods Hole Inn an anniversary tradition for years to come!” -Brittany and Jack Conway

Carlos & Taylor’s Story – June 26th, 2021
“As a young couple in early 2014, we planned our first couples vacation to Woods Hole Inn. Flashforward 7.5 years later, during a pandemic, we were searching for a place to coordinate a small, intimate family wedding. When we found that Woods Hole Inn helps to coordinate small weddings, the same place where we took our first vacation, we knew it was the right move. Our wedding day was beautiful, from the flowers we selected to the beautiful gardens for pictures and the ceremony. It was so wonderful to spend the day and have a lovely reception with our closest friends and family. The day was everything we could’ve dreamed of and more!” – Carlos and Taylor Rohena

Erin & Stephen’s Story – September 7th, 2021
“My now-husband and I had been together for 7 and a half years before he proposed to me just a week before my 50th birthday. I was beyond ecstatic and he could barely get the words out. Neither one of us had ever been married before nor did either of us ever think we ever would. Of course, I wanted to start planning immediately and he thought I was crazy for starting right away. However, during a Pandemic, I never thought it would be possible to get married right away. I started to research what was available for the area and Woods Hole Inn’s “Micro Wedding package” popped up. They were patient and responsive to all of my emails. My husband and I have lived here in Falmouth for as long as we have been together. We never realized the beauty within this small town. The crew at Woods Hole Inn made our wedding planning so smooth and delightful. I (being the bride) didn’t have to worry about the baker, the florist or the venue. We just had to make sure we showed up.
Not only did Woods Hole Inn introduce us to the most amazing place we chose to have our ceremony at, Spohr Gardens, but they really made our day amazing! The flowers were gorgeous, the cake was spot on, all I had to do was show a picture of what we wanted, and that is exactly what we got. Woods Hole Inn also set us up for our reception dinner, at Quick Hole Tavern, which everyone is still talking about! The food was phenomenal. The morning after the wedding we had an intimate breakfast at the Inn and it was absolutely delightful. Everyone at the Inn knew who we were, they really made us feel special as if we were the only ones there. We will be spending our anniversaries at the Inn for sure. I am already working on booking our first-anniversary trip next year.” – Erin & Stephen McGarrigle
