Snow News- Woods Hole Welcomes Winter Wonderland
On Sunday, February 7th, 2021, a winter storm fiercely swept through the North East leaving Woods Hole covered in dreamlike blankets of snow as far as the eyes could see.
The afternoon started out with quiet streets as the snow pellets cascaded around.
Driving visibility was reduced and surrounding trees quickly became fully white with snow.
Woods Hole beaches were blanketed, the ocean lapping at the snow-covered sand.
As the snowy evening continued… so did Jack Frost, gathering an accumulation of about 5- 8 inches depending on proximity to the ocean.
Cape Cod children rushed outdoors to build their magical snowman.
Monday morning came with clear sunny skies and beauty left behind by Mr. Frost… along with freezing temperature to top it off.
The day was crisp from the cold temperatures. Shoveling blocks of frozen snow off sidewalks was challenging, but worth it as the gorgeous wintery white will stay with us a spell.
We enjoyed another glorious golden hue Woods Hole sunset with rooftops, mooring buoys, and beaches tinged white.
