A Cozy Winter Weekend of Crafts in Woods Hole
With the heat and humidity carrying us into September, we can’t help but fantasize about the chillier months here on Cape Cod, when sipping hot chocolate in front of a fire and knitting our new relatives teeny tiny hats is the best way to spend a winter weekend.
What better way to experience the Cape Cod winter land than with a December weekend trip to the Woods Hole Inn? By booking the first weekend of December, you’ll get to experience a true gem: the Renaissance Fair, right in the heart of Woods Hole. The Cape Cod craft fair is somewhat of an institution Cape-wide, but this is one of the best.
Every year, the Woods Hole Community Hall is filled to the brim with locally crafted goodies (think award-winning homemade hot sauce, gorgeous nautical prints, handcrafted ornaments, beeswax candles, letterpress stationary, and local honey). A visit to the Woods Hole Renaissance Fair is the perfect way to complete your holiday shopping with unique, hand-made items.
The mood is festive with live music all day. It’s something we look forward to every year, and always encourage our guests to check out! Head home with a hand-crafted holiday wreath, made on frames of dried grape vines with locally cut greenery. Or try the soups and tasty breads offered from our local church – an amazing selection of home made delights sure to warm your heart.
This year, we’re taking it a step further with our first ever “Renaissance Fair Weekend Special.” Book your two-night stay from December 2nd-4th and get a Standard King for $399 or a queen for $379 queen, plus $25 worth of “Woods Hole Inn Bucks” to spend at the fair.
The Renaissance Fair is open to the public from 10 to 3 pm on Saturday December 2, 2017 and located at 68 Water Street in Woods Hole. There is plenty of street parking in Woods Hole. Parking is included for guests of the Woods Hole Inn.
