Snow News in the Hole! December 3rd, 2019 New England Storm brings Cape Cod an early glimpse of winter
Most may dread the weather’s wintry forecast of snow but here on Cape Cod, we say BRING IT ON! Today Woods Hole experienced its first real snowfall with blustery winds depositing four inches of winter’s welcome.
With no power outages or major damage, we were beyond grateful!
As the morning progressed, large wet flakes, slippery roads, and blustery winds made driving conditions difficult but Quicks Hole’s giant lobster enjoyed the snowfall just the same.
Local store owners spent hours shoveling driveways and making walkways safe so we could enjoy the coffee or hot chocolate from favorite shops Pie In the Sky and Coffee Obsession.
In the early afternoon, the storm lifted leaving a magical sunset glowing deep gold against the dramatic white. From the Woods Hole Inn, we watched the Martha’s Vineyard ferry departing to the Island.
While our snow often melts quickly, we cherish days like today with plenty of snow on the ground.
