Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk
October 4, 2015
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a celebration of survivorship an occasion to express hope and our shared determination to make this breast cancer’s last century.
Making Strides of Falmouth, our noncompetitive, 2-4-mile walk begins promptly at 10 a.m.. Be sure your team gathers at the start line prior to 10 a.m..
Where to meet your team: We will have the team area surounded by balloons to easily identify where you can meet after you’ve checked in!
This ceremony serves as a time to inspire Making Strides participants to take action and symbolizes the emotional commitment each of us makes to finish the fight against breast cancer. We will have an inspirational survivor speech, a quick thank you to our sponsors and participants, followed by a short speech from the American Cancer Society. After our speech program we will have a survivor lead energetic warm-up before we count down to the walk start!
Our event is not a race and walkers do not need to complete the entire walk if unable. The walk concludes when the final walker crosses the finish line. Upon finishing the walk, please stick around for a yoga cool down, refreshments, snacks, and the announcment of the drawing prize winners.
Rain or Shine event. No pets or bicycles please.
