Historical Walking tour at Oak Grove Cemetery

June 13 – September 26, Second and Fourth Mondays of the Month

The walking tour last about an hour and a half. The tours begin at 10:00am.  Meet at the chapel where parking is available on the Chapel Road.

Learn about the relationship between President John F. Kennedy and Oak Grove Cemetery. Visit the graves of famous whaling captains, Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and Civil War veterans. Who was the first burial; at Oak Grove and many other interesting people.

Tour the oldest part of the cemetery led by our superintendent and Falmouth Cemetery Historian, Donna Walcovy.  Most people know Katharine Lee Bates is buried in Oak Grove and so are other significant people to the development and history of Falmouth; Whaling Captains, Ship Builders, war veterans from the Revolutionary War to the present, captains of Industry and many more. www.oak-grove-cemetery-of-falmouth.com
