We had a wonderful two day get-away for our anniversary. The staff even gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne!! The breakfasts were amazing and we enjoyed sitting outside and watching the harbor. The folks were great and the location perfect--we had our bikes and did a day trip to Martha's Vineyard--super convenient.

We arrived earlier than expected and was immediately welcomed. The room was checked for readiness, a tour of the property was given and we parked our car for the night. It is a small lot and they provide valet parking and will bring your bags to your room. Everyone was curteous and respectul and greeted us with a smile. The property was clean, snacks were provided for the afternoon. The room was comfortable. Breakfast started at 8 am and was delicious. Checkout went smoothly and I definitely recommend this inn because of the atmosphere. It is a busy street though and it may be a rough night if you are a light sleeper.

Spent five wonderful days at this beautiful and charming B&B with a phenomenal and personable staff. You can't beat the picturesque location that comes with a parking spot in an area where parking can be a trial. From check-in, to the very comfortable room to the tasty breakfast each morning, this place really shows it's pride through it's attentive and friendly staff. They were there to answer questions, make reservations, make recommendations, and to ensure that your time is spent the way you wish it to be spent.

Room very comfy, cozy, and clean. Cozy, yes, but not too small. Was a bit chilly, called front desk and heat was immediately raised. Inn was welcoming and warm. Plenty of areas to sit and knit in comfort. Program was awesome with the famous Norah Gaughan! I hope they offer something like this again. Breakfast yummy. Food at Quick's Hole was delicious. Lovely inn in a quaint village. Lots of fun. Highly recommend!Stayed: February 2017, traveled with family

Beautifully located with views of the ocean, the Wood's Hole Inn balances rustic beach styling with a modern flair that feels relaxing and comfortable. My room was a generous size and came with a TV and DVD player, along with a chair and desk. Water, tea, and coffee were always available, and their gourmet breakfasts were delicious. The staff were charming and helpful. In March, many of the shops were closed, but I could tell it would be a fun place to visit in warmer weather too. I can't wait to visit again!

I visited the Woods Hole Inn with friends for a yoga retreat/wellness weekend. The rooms were all stunning. Views of the water, some with private decks, large beds, beautifully decorated. Our large bathroom had a large marble/glass shower, clawfoot tub, and two sinks. There were lots of unique touches--bath salts, books to read, complimentary coffee all day in the rear sun room. The breakfasts were homemade and delicious. Can't say enough good things about my stay. I look forward to returning with my family.Room Tip: we loved the Penzance room with view of the harbor, the islands, and private deck

We stayed this past weekend and even though it's the off season so to say found plenty to do around the area. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view overlooking the harbor. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, we were surprised by the options available. Everyone at the Inn was helpful and friendly, we would definitely recommend this place to others.

Just steps from the ferry terminal, this Inn ticks all the boxes that make for an enjoyable experience: Friendly staff? Check. Prompt service? Check. Quaint setting and historic charm? Check. Views? Check. Decadent breakfast choices? Check. Seriously, I was in room #4 and it had to be one of the cleanest, freshest feeling rooms I've ever stayed in. Beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom while on the small side, was well stocked and laid out.
Room Tip: Light sleeper? The ferry is next door: expect to hear bustling around the terminal. I found it to be...Stayed March 2017, traveled solo

My husband and I stayed here for a 3 night kid free getaway.. we were wowed from the moment we stepped in! We appreciated the historic charm, yet modernity that has been added to the inn. The rooms are so comfortable and beautiful.. we stayed in the nonemasset (sp?) room and the walk in shower is so beautiful with a lovely rainfall shower head. We fell in love with this quaint little seaside town.. the ferry access is great.. just steps away from the inn. So close to capt. Kidd (amazing chowder and atmosphere), also within steps of a hip little coffee shop (the 'coffee obsession'), and quicks hole restaurant (great atmosphere and food!) We will definitely be back.. we have even looked at real estate around the area! Oh...and the breakfast is to die for! 🙂 tip: if your room gets a little too warm, crack the windows a bit for some fresh air.
Room Tip: recommend a room with a deck! worth the extra $$

Went this past weekend for the 11th Bi-ennial Shipmodel show. My husband was a participant. The library Association welcomed us with open arms.
The inn was charming with very big bedrooms and very small bathrooms. The common areas were great-living room, dining room, game room, kitchen & dining area. The food in made by their own bakers who cook there. Food was wonderful. The vibe as they call it is vintage-modern. I loved the furniture and felt like I had gone back to my old days.
No elevator, there is a ramp from parking lot to first floor - nothing to second floor.
Room Tip: rooms on main floor off street were surprisingly quiet

In May 2017 had a one night stay at the Woods Hole Inn Bed and Breakfast. It was recommended by another party and was not planned ahead. They were very accomodating after hours. The property is at least 100 yrs. old or more and was operated as an inn in the past. The new owners put a lot of sweat and tears into restoring it to its original glory. There are various glass-enclosed displays throughout the living areas open to the public containing all kinds of interesting memorabilia. The stairway to the upstairs is wall-papered in copies of actual receipts filled in from stays at the inn during the 1950's which is quite unusual and striking. The woodwork, doors, and other original pieces have been restored giving the inn character and charm. The reception desk brings one back in time except there is a computer behind it. I had to ring the brass bell on top which I was told was over 100 yrs. old. Our room was roomy enough with a king size bed and it was supremely comfortable after a long car trip. There was a bureau, two night stands, and a small flat screen TV that worked perfectly. The 3 piece bathroom consisted of a shower stall, toilet, and wall mounted sink which was all adequate but the space small. The next morning breakfast was served in the kitchen which could seat quite a large number of people comfortably. We took a seat at the large picture window overlooking the back area behind the inn...not so picturesque but still bright and nice. The main disappointment was the food. OK, not bad but not very good either. Served buffet style was yogurt and fresh fruit and granola - in my opinion the best thing there. Cold, small croissants you could get in any grocery. Banana pecan bread pudding in small cups that was practically flavorless. Scrambled eggs that for some reason had a tinny aftertaste and again plain and flavorless. Another baked good that looked dry and uninviting that I did not try. The coffee was good. Overall, my stay at the Woods Hole Inn was satisfying in that the Inn itself is charming, clean, and the people who work there are very nice. We had to get the ferry to Martha's Vineyard early that morning and it was nice that the ferry was literally yards away from the Inn. I would recommend anyone who is on the fence to stay here but if you are looking for a gourmet bed and breakfast, this is not the place.

I stayed at Woods Hole Inn while as a student at MBL for 10 days. It is within a 5 minute walk to campus. Breakfast was phenomenal. The rooms were very comfortable and home-like. The staff went above and beyond in keeping guests comfortable. I would go back in a heart beat!
