 Daffodil Days 2016

Celebrate Spring and experience the sheer beauty of thousands of blooming daffodils at this not to be missed annual event Sat. April 23 and Sat. April 30: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Music in the gardens from 10:00-12:00 noon with performances by the Falmouth Academy String Octet and from 1:00-2:00 Falmouth Fiddlers will entertain. Guided Tours offered and there will be a sale table and quilt raffle. For the children there will be a ventriloquist, face painting and the “Wishing Tree” is back by popular demand. FREE ADMISSION – Donations accepted.  Gardens open daily starting in April.

Falmouth Village Blooming 2016


Join us in welcoming spring back to Falmouth Village!  For the first two weeks in May, Falmouth Village blooms with May baskets, May poles, plant sales and an unbelievable kids day! Of course, there will also be plenty of blooming bargains at retail stores.  Add to that a Cinco de Mayo celebration in the streets Flower Power specials at local restaurants and you have one Cape Cod village that ushers in spring with gusto. Look at all that’s in store for the first two weeks in May as Falmouth Village brings out the blooms!

April 30th: KIDS DAY! From 10-12, bring your little ones to Museums on the Green for crafts, story time, snacks and more! Check our Facebook page to register!

April 30th – May 8th: Take a self-guided tour through Falmouth Village where participating businesses will display handmade and unique May baskets.  More than 30 businesses take this competition seriously, and the May baskets are everything from simple to lavish. Vote on the Falmouth Village Facebook page for your favorite and crown a People’s Choice winner.

May 1: May Pole Celebration at Highfield Hall

May 5:  Cinco de Mayo:  They’re closing the street and spilling out of the restaurants for this annual spring celebration. Sip a blooming Margarita as Anejo Mexican Bistro moves the fun out into the street to celebrate the 5th of May.  You’ll want to arrive in festive garb to enjoy $5 burritos and margaritas and plenty of music to go along with the holiday at this spring street party.

TBD: Falmouth Beautification Council Plant Sale, 9am – 3pm: Put the gardening gloves on and revvvv your garden engines for the annual Falmouth Beautification Council Sale. Here’s your chance to fill the window boxes and planters as the council peddles its pedals! From 9:00am – 3:00pm, under the tents at Town Hall Square, purchase your annuals, perennials, herbs, daylilies, shrubs, veggies, house plants and more. This is a sale that gardeners wait for which signals that the growing season can now begin. Special workshops for gardeners and kids will be offered too.

Welcome Back Open House & Spring Season at Highfield Hall

Highfield Hall will be celebrating their season opening on Sunday May 1st from 12:30pm until 3:30pm. Stop by Highfield Hall for a full day of fun including: a Highfield Estate walk, artist receptions for: Studio Art Quilt Association show, South Cape Artists show and Heather Bloom, and activities for children and families. Sponsored by Atria Woodbriar.  The open house is free and all are welcome!

Culinary at the Mansion

Meet the Chef Series: This series runs from April 3rd through May 1st and features local chefs including Fred Feufeu from Mashpee’s Bleu Restaurant, Jean Lanahan from East Wind Lobster and Grille in Buzzards Bay and our very own Quicks Hole Tavern Executive Chef Stephanie Mikolazyk.

2016:The Year of the Vegetable Seres: Runs from May 4th through June 8th. Culinary Director Gail Blakely hosts these classes that focus on healthy cooking – from vegetables to grains, pulses, and heart healthy ingredients!

Farm to Table Series: Runs from June 29th through August 24th. More information coming soon!
