Jazzfest Falmouth 2016

Since 2008, JazzFest Falmouth has been showcasing national, regional and Cape Cod jazz artists for a week long festival of jazz that ends on the first weekend in October. During the week before there are lectures and a concert at Highfield Hall and a concert in the Woods Hole Community Hall.  The weekend itself begins with a free Jazz Stroll along Main Street in Falmouth on Friday night. More than a dozen groups play a variety of styles in the shops and restaurants. From bossa nova to bebop to blues, there is something for everyone. The musicians come from New York, the Berklee School of Music, the New England Conservatory or are our neighbors on Cape Cod.

On Saturday there is a concert at Highfield Theatre, 58 Highfield Drive in Falmouth.  It sometimes features a GRAMMY winner or nominee, sometimes an up-and-comer, a younger person on the way up.
