Every year, mvyRadio hosts an incredible gathering to raise money for the Red Stocking Fund on Martha’s Vineyard called Big Chili Contest 2015. People flock from all over New England for a wintery day on the island with tons of local restaurants donating all-you-can-eat chili. Local bands play all day with more Corona beer served than you see in Mexico on spring break, all for a great cause. Tickets to the “Martha’s Vineyard Chilifest” as it is sometimes called, can be scarcer than hen’s teeth and hard to come by if you are not a local.
We have the Big Chili Weekend (Jan 24th 2015) all figured out for you. Stay TWO nights at the Inn including breakfast and parking, plus TWO tickets to the Big Chili Contest 2014, plus TWO round trip tickets on the MV ferry to the 2014 Big Chili Contest, PLUS a craft beer flite at our new restaurant (Quicks Hole Tavern, next door). We are discounting the room and offering you FREE TICKETS! Wow.
Relax in comfort at the Inn, with easy access to the ferry across the street when you decide to head over to party at the Martha’s Vineyard Chilifest. When you return from a long day of chili-festing, kick your feet up on our pillow top mattresses, or relax with your last Corona in front of our cosy fireplace. From our water view rooms, you will watch the ferries emptying of revelers with longer journeys home. Yes, you have it ALL figured out this year!

Inspired by visits to her grandparents house on Wings Neck, now made famous by the publication of this book, inn owner Beth Colt incorporated much of the charm of the old Cape in her renovation of the building.
She often muses about the connections and similarities between the Woods Hole Inn and the “Big House” in her blog. If you are curious about life in the “Big House,” book two nights at the Inn and Beth will join you for breakfast to discuss the book, and send you home with a paperback copy to share with your family and friends.
